I am having the issue where my computer loses internet access after sleep or other periods of inactivity. The WiFi is still connected, but I can’t connect unless I turn off not restart my computer and turn it back on. The standard response see below involves the Power Management tab in Network Adapters, but I do not have this. In the property sheet, switch to Power Management tab and uncheck the option Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. Click OK. You may now close Device Manager and restart the machine to get your issue fixed.

Systems which have modern standby do not have power management tabs on the Wi-Fi device. Since I don’t know what system you have I can’t help much more than that. I have that very same problem and am also looking for the power management to disable sleep for the Wifi card. I have asked Dell support to check the Wifi and see what they could do, but they would not even acknowledge that there seems to be a wide base of people who are reporting the wake-up Wifi gone problem and that there seems to be something wrong with Windows 10 driver and power management.

Anyway, the quick but temporary fix is to open up your BIOS and hit «factory reset». But the effect only lasts a day or two and then the issue reappears.

I am quite fed up about this. If anyone has a solution, please share. The problem described in this thread sounds similar, so I am currently trying the solution suggested there disabling Windows Auto Driver updates.

I have switched it to «Computer cant turn off» whenever possible. It would love to change the Power settings of that WiFi card, let me tell you that, but I can only go into the Advanced Tab and then I get lots of options I have no idea about unfortunately, in German here.
